Writer and art critic. He has been Director of the Valencian Institute of Modern Art and of the National Reina Sofía Art Museum. He is author of various books of poems, a daily newspaper, of numerous monographs on artists of the 19th and 20th Centuries, and of a Dictionary of the Avant-Garde in Spain (1907 - 1936).
